Land Acknowledgement
We respectfully acknowledge that our business operates on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land, known as Tkaronto, which means "meeting place" in the Haudenosaunee language, has been a site of human activity for thousands of years.
We recognize that Toronto is home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples today. As we conduct our business here, we are mindful of the enduring presence of Indigenous communities who have lived on and cared for these lands for generations. We honor the long-standing relationships between Indigenous peoples and this land, and we commit to learning about and respecting the rich history, cultures, and contributions of the First Peoples of this region.
As settlers and guests on this land, we have a responsibility to understand the ongoing impacts of colonialism and to work towards meaningful reconciliation. We are grateful for the opportunity to live and work in this vibrant city, and we pledge to be mindful stewards of the land and to support Indigenous rights and perspectives in our business practices.
