We’ve always seen gender-affirming gear as one part of the whole story. The rest lives in the quiet moments, the loud celebrations, the awkward conversations, and the moments of gender euphoria that get us through the hard days. That’s why we decided to create a series of comics about the everyday wins, real challenges, and unique snapshots of the trans experience.
For so many of us, it took years before we saw our experiences reflected back at us with any kind of honesty. When all you ever see are stereotypes or tragedy, it can feel like there’s no place for your version of transness. No room for your joy, your uncertainty, or the messy in‑between.
Some of the comics will be soft and affirming, like the first time someone gets your pronouns right without being prompted. Others will sit with discomfort: microaggressions, dysphoria, complicated family dynamics. Not every panel will be positive, and that’s intentional. Our lives are not PR campaigns; they are layered, contradictory, and deeply human.
We also know that representation isn’t just about “visibility”; it’s about recognition. When you see yourself in a story, it can remind you that you’re not the only one navigating these feelings, choices, and milestones. For folks who are still questioning, still closeted, or still waiting for the right time, we hope that this can show them that there is a future with room for them in it.
We also hope to build a sort of archive of community stories: the first binder that fit, the name that finally sounded right, the bathroom you walked into without holding your breath, the friend who corrected someone for you without making it a big deal. These aren’t “small” moments; they’re turning points that quietly reshape how we understand ourselves. We truly beliebe that sharing them publicly honours the courage it takes to live them in private.
As we release each comic, we invite you to reflect, share, and add your voice. Tell us about the panels you see yourself in, and the ones you wish existed when you were younger. Tell us about your joy, your grief, your confusion, your pride.
This series is for those of you who are living it, those of you who have lived it, and those of you who are still dreaming your way toward it. We’re so glad you’re here.
